People Magazine is a leader in publication that delivers news regarding celebrities, world events, true crime, and more. Since its creation in 1974, People magazine has amassed an audience of 84.56 million.
with the opportunity to do something unique with a mass publication, I set out to redesign a special edition of people.
To redesign People with a focus on People’s true essence and origins, I brought people to the 70’s.
This design approaches people minimalistically and honors the hallmarks of 70’s magazine design. each photo has been retouched and stylized, and every typeface used originated in 1974, which is the same year that magazine was created.
